 You are very probably correct, I knew there was discussion about
 issues with MAIN__ which is why I help off on this PR for a couple
 of weeks ... but now (since it isn't fixed) that the pkgsrc freeze
 is in place, I wanted to ensure this didn't get forgotten before
 the 2009Q4 pkgsrc branch is made (not necessarily that it gets
 fixed, just that it isn't just forgotten...)
