>Description:
The wm/wmii package in pkgsrc currently is at version 3.6nb4, while wmii
itself is already at version 3.9.2. Please upgrade pkgsrc package.
>How-To-Repeat:
With an up-to-date checkout of pkgsrc-current, do:
$ cd /usr/pkgsrc/wm/wmii; make package-name
wmii-3.6nb4
Visit <http://wmii.suckless.org/>, which mentions
``Latest release: wmii 3.9.2 (recommended)''.
>Fix:
Update wm/wmii to version 3.9.2 (no update details provided).
Note on libixp: while devel/libixp is currently listed as a dependency of
wm/wmii, the wmii-3.9.2 release seems to include libixp by itself. Thus,
the dependency might (need to) be removed. (Another possibility might be
to alter the sources so they will not use their own libixp, but the
ones from devel/libixp; i'm not the one to tell what's best and of this
indeed is possible at all.)
Related to that: doc/TODO currently (version 1.129) mentions:
``libixp-0.5 [breaks wmii-3.6, wait for compatible version]''.
If wm/wmii will indeed no longer depend on devel/libixp, the note
about the breakage of wmii can be removed and, better yet, the
devel/libixp package may be updated (after which the line may be removed
altogether).
