The NOGCCERROR variable is not a standard pkgsrc variable.  It appears nowhere 
in
pkgsrc/mk/.  Only a few packages define it, and I assume they do so only because
the underlying Makefiles support it.

Anyway, your particular problems should have been fixed with the update to 0.12.
