Well, emacs does a lot of semi-unclean things other software doesn't,
so when it doesn't work it isn't obvious who's fault it is.
I've just filed another PR (45716) for this issue so we don't keep
mailing the submitter of this one. Can you forward the source-changes
info for the commit you made to it for reference? I lost track of it,
and while I can probably find it, if you dig it up there's less chance
of accidentally getting the wrong thing.
