State-Changed-Why:
A fix has been pulled up to 2012Q4. Does it fix it for you?
This fix does allow the package to build. So maybe it should be closed.
However I have trouble at runtime: cnid_metad is causing trouble.
When I try to mount a volume I get the following message:
"Something wrong with the volume's CNID DB, using temporary CNID DB
instead. Check server messages for details. Switching to read-only
mode."
And the volume works ok in read-only mode. This leads me to believe that
afpd is doing it's thing ok.
When that message is printed on the client, I see this in the afpd log:
"(E:CNID): transmit: Request to dbd daemon (db_dir /export/Media)
timed out."
And also - while running cnid_metad in the foreground I see the
following messages:
": DB_ENV->stat_print: method not permitted before handle's open method
: illegal flag specified to DB_ENV->remove
: DB_ENV->dbremove: method not permitted before handle's open method
: DB_ENV->stat_print: method not permitted before handle's open method
: illegal flag specified to DB_ENV->remove"
...over and over.
If I ktrace it, I see the following suspicious message, but I don't
really know what it means:
"cnid_metad 24178 - - maybe_start_dbd: respawn too fast just exiting"
Should I open a separate PR? Let me know if I can provide more info. Thanks,
Louis
