I've sent this PR to upstream, because preferred change should be decided by
upstream developer, not by us. If upstream will decide to do opposite change
than us, future package update may result in broken again, unless updater will
check changes carefully.
If we cannot wait until upstream decision, I feel that it is the safe side
to do just a fix, not feature changes.
