 gcc48-libs was installed by gcc48-fortran. I should have mentioned
 this. Removing all gcc48 packages and then installing lang/gcc48
 works. But then gcc48-fortran can no longer be installed:
 
 Conflicting PLIST with gcc48-4.8.2nb2: gcc48/lib/libatomic.la
 
 Loosk like lang/gcc48 should be changed to a meta package that
 pulls in gcc48-cc++, gcc48-fortran, etc. and gcc48-libs.
