>Release: NetBSD 6.99.43 (GENERIC) amd64
>Organization:
>Environment:
NetBSD 6.99.43 NetBSD 6.99.43 (GENERIC) #7: Fri Jun 13 01:41:57 PDT 2014
xxxxx@:/usr/obj/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC amd64
>Description:
On all of current NetBSD 6.99.43 (GENERIC) amd64 and DragonFly 3.9-DEVELOPMENT
x86_64 and i386, www/seamonkey 2.25nb2 fails to complete
make install package
due to an error:
=> Automatic manual page handling
pkg_create: can't stat
`/usr/pkgsrc/www/seamonkey/work/.destdir/usr/pkg/lib/seamonkey/libmozjs.so'
=> Creating binary package
/usr/pkgsrc/www/seamonkey/work/.packages/seamonkey-2.25nb2.tgz
pkg_create: can't stat
`/usr/pkgsrc/www/seamonkey/work/.destdir/usr/pkg/lib/seamonkey/libmozjs.so'
pkg_create: lstat failed for file lib/seamonkey/libmozjs.so: No such file or
directory
www/seamonkey is still useful for at least DragonFly 3.9-DEVELOPMENT i386
because it appears to be the most recent full-featured browser that is able to
be built with a running out of memory error.
>How-To-Repeat:
>Fix:
On both NetBSD 6.99.43 (GENERIC) amd64 and DragonFly 3.9-DEVELOPMENT x86_64, it
has been checked that removal of the single line from PLIST of
lib/seamonkey/libmozjs.so
results in an ability to build and install www/seamonkey. This bug report is
being written using seamonkey on NetBSD 6.99.43 amd64.
However there is a major question of whether there needs to be a new option for
either including this library libmozjs.so or not. www/seamonkey 2.25nb2
appears to have been successfully built on DragonFly 3.9-DEVELOPMENT i386 as
recent as June 5, 2014. It seems possible every platform supporting seamonkey
needs to be tested as to whether this library is to be in the PLIST or not.
