In the latest update I've removed some patches.
One that is supposedly included in 1.6.4:

and one that had as comment:
reinstate patch as upstream patch not yet in [1.6.2] release.

Can you try applying patch-configure from pkgsrc-2015Q2 (especially
the last chunk) and see if it helps? And if yes, please file an
upstream bug report.
