 I submitted the PR.
 
 1)I also have problems running blender, which seem to be graphics 
 related. It looks to me that without virtual box additions, virtualbox 
 machines don't have powerful enough graphics to run Blender. If I'm 
 right, that might mean that the FPU doesn't work properly.
 
 2)I've bumped up the amount of ram to 4 gigs for the VM. I can try 
 running the build again but not until later this evening, Alaska time 
 (on my way to bed, basically -so it runs overnight).
