Upon re-installing "gvfs", a subsequent attempt to build
"gobject-introspection" once again fails. After again removing "gvfs",
 building "gobject-introspection" again succeeds.

Likewise on the amd64-8.0_BETA system: With "gvfs" still installed,
building "gobject-introspection" fails. After removing "gvfs", building
 "gobject-introspection" succeeds.

Upon re-installing "gvfs", a subsequent attempt to build
"gobject-introspection" once again fails. After again removing "gvfs",
 building "gobject-introspection" again succeeds.

So, what about "gvfs" interferes with "gobject-introspection"--not just
running the programs it provides, but even trying to build it in the first
 place.
