 You should be able to reduce the noise while debugging by commenting
 this out:
 
 EXTRACT_ELEMENTS=	${PYSUBDIR}/Modules/pyexpat.c
 
 I wonder how hard it would be to teach the patch logic to skip over
 patches for unextracted files... probably annoying since it would have
 to read the headers in the patch files I guess.
