Trying to build graphics/libotf after the update to freetype2 results in

checking for GNU libc compatible malloc... yes
checking for freetype-config... no
Freetype library wan't found in your system!

libotf is important because a suggested option xft2 for editors/emacs25 pulls in libotf as a dependency.

Why not use the release notes for freetype 2.9.1 which state:

"The `configure' script no longer installs `freetype-config' by default.
For backwards compatibility, a new configure options `--enable-freetype-config' is provided that reverts this decision."
