Linux-problem-note: lib64 directory nonexistent in work dir

Hello,

under x86_64 linux a couple of packages make problems and I want to say 
this in a nutshell. It should liblzma.la and other la files are created 
in the work-dir, but even the lib64 folder is missing and the libs, too. 
I am aware that the lib64 folder does not exist under netbsd. 
Nevertheless, I want to point out shortly afterwards.
Known packages with the problem:
textproc / libxslt
graphics / lcms2
graphics / cairo
raphics / cairo-gobjekts
