Hm, right … actually, on my Linux workstation, I currently got this:

checking for posix_memalign... yes
checking for ZLIB... no
configure: error: Package requirements (zlib >= 1.2.3) were not met:

Package 'zlib', required by 'virtual:world', not found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables ZLIB_CFLAGS
and ZLIB_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

(The version is not from 20181015, it's a tarball snapshot that got cvs updated today.)

But I do think I remember it building once before. Not sure if
dependencies need fixing.
