Since the xentools has been fixed, the point is moot. It's a bit
surprising the xentools package didn't get corrected earlier,
particularly given that the issue of Bytes vs Strings and default safe
strings has been on agenda in the OCaml community for at least several
years now. I find your position on the issue to be reasonable. I
suppose the ticket could be closed at this point.
