 On review, I think it entirely duplicates the parts of 10835 that
 aren't fixed. I'm going to close 10835 as a duplicate (since this one
 has a more cogent name and doesn't also contain other now-irrelevant
 material) but anyone who wants to take this project up should be sure
 to look there as well.
