 Rebooted the machine from custom kernel config to GENERIC. In this case,
 I get behaviour similar to the amd64 case, except the last test case in
 the group dies with segfault, but then configure continues.
 
 My custom kernel config drops a ton of hardware support (for stuff
 my machine doesn't have), selects a bunch of filesystem relevant to
 my interests and - I think this might be relevant - enables DIAGNOSTIC.
 
 I'm currently building a slightly modified GENERIC that only differs in
 having DIAGNOSTIC enabled and will report back the results.
