Apart from the wrong download directory (fixed in HEAD, pullup request
submitted), I cannot see why Digest::SHA1 is not available during
configuration:

John, could you tell me whether you can find SHA1.pm somewhere in the
/usr/pkg/lib/perl5/ tree?

If this is HEAD of pkgsrc, could this be related to the changes to
lang/perl5 jlam announced some time ago?
