Probably not - as the comment says it's a workaround for certain
versions of OpenWindows which have a broken header file. It's been
fixed since (package builds fine on my Solaris 9 machines) but given
a lot of Solaris users are likely to still be running Solaris 8,
it's worth us having a small patch to get this package running on
their systems - especially given it has so many dependancies
(through x11/Xrender and x11/Xft2...)
I doubt the freedesktop guys would want such a hack.
