According to abiword.org:
  "Our latest stable release is version 2.2.7."

(Under Linux with gcc 3.3.5, the current package fails to build
due to patch-ab. Or maybe missing previous patch-ac. Also, the installed
files differences with diff -u PLIST was over 900 changes.)
