I started working on getting them to share patches, but gave up on working 
on it for now since the ffmpeg issues continue. The upstream developer has 
various releases and beta releases (on different sites) and it is hard to 
tell what is official. There are patches for fixing problems but they are 
all from a mix of beta versions.

I may just remove the ffmpeg support for now.

or allow it use its included ffmpeg (but maybe that has security issue?).
