Let's say we don't find time or person with the right background to do
that, can we not add an option which at least by testing is known to work?
Don't get me wrong - but isn't that what we just did for ntfs?

I have no background whatsoever to take this up. I am willing to build
one, but it's going to take long. In the meantime people who need might as
well use this option.
