Subject: converters/wv2 insists on libiconv

I'm building converters/wv2, but I am quite mystified as to
why it insists on building libiconv.

I'm on NetBSD (-current), which has an iconv of its own, so
gnu libiconv should not be needed? Or does wv2 really need
the GNU libiconv?
