Re: difficulty adjusting vertical and horizontal panel sizes in gtk3 programs
Hello Greg,
Thanks for the detailed answer and hints for ctwm, I appreciate them
very much. Although I do not use ctwm but XFCE, only ocasionally, after
playing with the config file as you suggested, I think it is good to
know a bit of how ctwm works, it is highly customizable and low
resources. I have been playing with BorderWidth in a custom ~/.ctwmrc
file, set to 12, and window borders indeed are big and wider with 3D
appearance.
But those borders are not my problem. My problem are the borders that
are inside the GTK programs like tunderbird, that divide the program in
for example 3 panels. There are very thin lines. In a good working
Thunderbird, when you place the mouse pointer close to the line, arrows
appear to help placing the mouse over the separation line. Once you have
placed precisely the mouse you can adjust line position and resize
panels inside the program. Without the helping arrows is very tricky to
place the mouse accurately over the line.
Sorry if my explanation was so bad.
Regards.
Ramiro.
