This is wrong. libX11 (before) and libxcb (now) should explicitly
provide pthread-stubs when libc doesn't do that. Otherwise all (!) X11
applications have to be to be linked with pthread, which is not
acceptable. The existing stubs are missing at least pthread_equal, which
was found by the FreeBSD ports guys as FreeBSD 5.3 (?) and earlier
doesn't have a stub for that.
