Get one of the scenarios from trilogyrelease.bungie.org - I've had good luck 
with the "Unimap" versions from that page.  Unzip it - it doesn't matter where, 
but I generally use /usr/local/share/AlephOne/Scenarios - and make sure perms 
are readable.  Set ALEPHONE_DATA (in your shell) to the path of the particular 
scenario you want to try.  Then launch the app.

I suppose these instructions ought to go along when I ask for review.  :)
