Does this mean that it was committed upstream?
While I can appreciate the maintenance benefits of rolling patches
into the distfile (especially when basing the distfile on CVS/SVN/git
checkouts) the drawback is that it lacks transparency and auditing of
correctness by the community. For example how many patches are there,
what are their purpose, history?
