Subject: Test ec in the AlphaPC 164 startup...?

Does anybody know what it means that my AlphaPC 164 board with an SRM
console is hanging on test ec?   It actually hangs for about ten
minutes and then comes back - it prints f4, and then continues through
its other tests.
