DEC Multia with NCR scsi controler.
IBM DFHS 2gig ultrawide scsi with 50pin adaptor to scsi-1 style.
the drive has its 'force-narrow' mode pin jumped
Both systems are 1.3.2
In my sparc 1, it recognizes as the following:
esp0: unrecognized MESSAGE EXTENDED: sending REJECT
esp:1: async
sd1 at scsibus0 targ 1 lun: <IBM OEM, DFHSS2W, 4B4B> SCSI2 0/direct fixed
sd1: 2150mb, 4390 cyl, 125 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 4404489 sectors
I just labled it and formated it without a problem. I can live with the
esp0 error.
On my alpha, I get:
ncr0 at pci0 dev 6 fucntion 0: ncr 53c810 fast10 scsi
ncr0: interrupting at isa irq 11
ncr0: minsync=25 maxsync=206, maxoffs=8, 16 dwords burst, normal dma fifo
ncr0: single-ended, open drain IRQ driver
ncr0: restart (scsi reset)
scsibus0 at ncr0: 8 targets
sd0 at scsibus0 targ 0 lun0: <IBM OEM DFHSS2W, 4B4B> CSI2 o/direct fixed
sd0: sd0(ncr0:0:0) phase changed 6-7 7@4106fa28 resid=4.
sd0(ncr0:0:0): M_REJECT recieved (0:8).
ncr0: SCSI phase error fixup: CCB already dequed (0xfffffe004a569800)
ncr0: aborting job...
ncr0:0: ERROR (90:0) (e-ab-0) (0/3) @ (scripth 71c:0e000000)

ncr0: regdump da 00 00 03 47 00 00 1f 31 00 00 a3 80 01 03 02.
ncr0: restart (fatal error).
I've got the drive terminated, spins up on power up, and I've tried a
whole slew of other funky options.
Thoughts?
thanx
