Insofar as I know, 1.3.X may not include a lot of new platform fixes/support
that is in -current. For example, the 4X00 AlphaServer support isn't pulled
back to the 1.3.X branch (lack of time).

You might see about snagging a snapshot of -current and trying that instead.
