So, I've got a Multia which I originally installed the 19990122
snapshot on. I downloaded the most recent tarballs of syssrc and xsrc
from -current, and I'm now running a kernel from that, plus X binaries
from those sources. However, X won't run:

Also, are multiple virtual terminals and color not supported in
alpha's wscons, or is there something I'm doing wrong there?
While I'm at it, I'd like to make a suggestion: It would be really
cool if there were an easy way to tell, from dmesg output, what CPU
option to use in my kernel config file. I found that info, but only
after checking the web site.
It's great to see NetBSD on an alpha, though!
