Well, here's what I want to do:
I have a pair of ~6.7GB EIDE drives.
They are spliced, under BSD/OS.
I would *love* to get them working, with minimal effort, on NetBSD/alpha.
"minimal effort" == "fake up disklabel and ccd them correctly so I can just
keep using the existing filesystem".
They're still in my BSD/OS box, so I can snapshot any and all information
about the current disk format.
In about two hours, I'll have a complete backup, so I can take *SOME* risk
with this data.
However, I think it would be great for hack value if I could get them
migrated.
So... How hard is it to fake an Alpha disklabel that represents the state of
a disk with a known disklabel in i386 land?
I have no FDISK tables now (don't need 'em, they're dedicated drives and not
bootable anyway).
