Now have serial console working....cable problems.
No regular keyboard/mouse connected.

I boot off CD

Answer questions with defaults

It starts to partition disks

command    /sbin/newfs /dev/rsd0a    works

command   /sbin/newfs /dev/rsd0d     fails

On command line I see

Status : Failed
Command : /sbin/newfs /dev/rsd0dsd0(asc0:0:0): illegal request, data=00 001

In the dashed box below I see

write error : 305783
wtfs : Invalid argument

Any help appreciated.
