I've had my 3000/300 for about a year. It came with: 150Mhz CPU, 64megs
RAM, 1gig HDD, and nothing else. No monitor, keyboard, cables. Which i
really don't need anyway. I do all administration through ssh, and have a
serial console handy should the need arise. Works great as a utility-type
server. I use it for email, ftp, and proxy server on a small
network. Stable as hell, wish some of my wintel boxes had the uptime this
little workhorse does.
At the time i got the box, I knew nothing about alphas and certainly
nothing about this model. There was little info anywhere on the net about
the box.(you're welcome to search) I learned the most just by wading
through the netbsd INSTALL.txt and picking stuff up as i went.
