Huzzah!  ...oh damn.  So close:  the Alphaserver 1200 5/533 now boots all
the way to sysinst, or to /bin/sh, but any attempt to partition the disks,
or newfs manually, causes an instant hard reset.

I've tried swapping the ISP1040B with an Adaptec 3940, but now I get endless
SCSI timeouts/resets...
