I have a multia that I recently upgraded to 1.4.1 and now it doesn't
respond to the console keyboard after booting.  SRM does respond,
so it doesn't seem like a hardware problem (broken keyboard, bad cable, etc.).
Searching the mail archives and problem database reveals kern/8702
(which involves an x86 machine) maybe related?   1.3.3 worked fine.
The TGA display works, and rlogging in over Ethernet works.
The problem doesn't happen every time.

Ideas?
