Well... You could gunzip it on another machine? If you are having
a hard time booting the multia with a floppy, try netbooting it.
There is a decent FAQ on www.netbsd.org, and it'll point you to my
netboot generator (for the multia), as well as giving you good
directions for setting up dhcp and NFS to get the job done. I've
been netbooting my Multias, and it works well.
