That could be (not supporting serial port) but I'm more inclined to think
you have hardware problems. I don't remember if I ever ran my Jensen without
graphics console.

Not without special diagnostic f/w loader hardware I think. You can put
f/w onto a machine using the SROM port header on the mainboard. Not for the
faint of heart but it works. Once used it successfully on a Sandpiper that I
fubar-ed. But I was lucky enough to be able to borrow the 'SROM loader'
as they called it from repair engineering.
