No, the DEC 3000/300 is turbochannel. I don't know if turbochannel SCSI
cards are supported under NetBSD, even assuming I could track one down.
yah, there are 2 models of scsi cards. narrow & fast. i've got one of
each in my 3000/400, giving me 4x 5MB/sec and 2x 10MB/sec scsi busses..
it works well as my file server for home:
tcds1 at tc0 slot 4 offset 0x0: TurboChannel Dual SCSI
asc2 at tcds1 chip 0: NCR53C96, 25MHz, SCSI ID 7
scsibus2 at asc2: 8 targets, 8 luns per target
asc3 at tcds1 chip 1: NCR53C96, 25MHz, SCSI ID 7
scsibus3 at asc3: 8 targets, 8 luns per target
tcds2 at tc0 slot 3 offset 0x0: TurboChannel Dual SCSI
tcds2: fast mode set for chip 0
asc4 at tcds2 chip 0: NCR53C96, 40MHz, SCSI ID 7
scsibus4 at asc4: 8 targets, 8 luns per target
tcds2: fast mode set for chip 1
asc5 at tcds2 chip 1: NCR53C96, 40MHz, SCSI ID 7
good lucky finding one! :-)
