MOST of these spams would be eliminated if the NetBSD mail server(s)
used the MAPS DUL to block illegal direct connections from dialups:
for instance this message was:
Received: from atv-ga6a-116.rasserver.net (HELO unknown) (198.211.232.116)
by mail.netbsd.org with SMTP; 2 Nov 2000 08:13:13 -0000
and that address exists in the MAPS DUL:
