If that's so, the 1.5 tar balls on ftp.netbsd.org should be fixed.
no, there should be a patch release. "NetBSD 1.5" is fixed for eternity.
What are you running?
um... i *think* that alpha's userland is circa-1.4Y (the kernel is not).
