If you're running OpenBSD on the machine, please do not post
to the port-alpha@netbsd.org list.  @netbsd.org lists are not
there to support OpenBSD.

On the other hand, you might try installing NetBSD/alpha 1.5
on the system.  NetBSD/alpha runs very well.
