Have you tried with another floppydrive?

I had the same problems with my PC164 when i tried to upgrade from ARC
to SRM. The problem was my drive. After trying three different
floppydrives, i was able to flash my rom. The alphas seem to be very
sensitive to variations in the calibration of the floppydrives.
