poop, i spoke too soon, /dev/rsd0d is /var although /usr (/dev/rsd0e) is also
hosed up, but it cleaned up real nice.  so, rebooted, /var still cranky, but
after running fsck again i think i've gotten it closer to coming back up.

although now:

Mar  9 13:02:04 init: can't exec getty '/usr/libexec/getty' for port /dev/console: No such file or directory


and it hangs there.  so i guess i'm gonna have to smash it down, come up to
single and try and repair this.  not at all fun.

i'll wait until i hear back from someone gets back to me.  where would i find
the crash dump?  /var somewhere?  thanks.
