You call the 8085 "decent"?!?!?!?  It wasn't even close to decent!!!
They've all been hacks ever since the 4004!

I think *every* other microprocessor design ever done (except maybe the
silly little 6502 that I so dearly loved) was better than anything Intel
ever came up with.  Of course I liked the RCA1802 once I figured it out,
so what do I know!  ;-)

Now if Western Electric were still building real CPUs they might even
have given the Alpha a run for its money....  Before WE32000's made it
onto a single die though the National Semi CPUs were the most awsome!

Of course they all paid homage back to the VAX....
