You don't have 2 wide connectors on the adapter ?
On mine there are 2 wide connectors and one narrow, if I remember properly.
So there is one channel which has 3 connectors: internal wide, internal narrow
and external wide. Of course you can't use them all at the same time, so
if you have some external device you have to make sure on which connector
it is.

Do you know if the on-board i810 is attached to scsibus0 or scsibus2 ?
As you say there's nothing on the i810 I suspect your hard disks are on siop2.
Do you have a device on target 0 on scsibus2 ?
