OK, I don't think this is the cause of the problem, but maybe this could
help.
If you're running 1.5.2 can you rebuild a kernel with the attached patch ?
I can build one for you if you don't have an easy way of doing it.
If you're running current make sure you have kernel sources with siop.c
version 1.47
