In an attempt to get my 3000/600 netbooting, I'm thinking the first
thing to tackle is the SRM firmware. I've got a working mopd working on
a Linux box, (gets a VAXstation going okay), but the Alpha won't boot
the v7.0 firmware, (very "chicken and egg" :-)
I get the following:
AUDIT_BOOT_STARTS ...
AUDIT_BOOT_REQ M400_V7_0
AUDIT_BSERVER_FOUND
AUDIT_LOAD_BEGINS
AUDIT_LOAD_DONE
?05 HLT INSTR
PC= 00000000.20000004 PSL= 00000000.00001F00
>>> _
Can someone point out which number my SRM version is, I suspect it's
3.2:
>>> sh config
DEC 3000 - M600

ASIC OK
...
Does my /600 suffer the same problem as the /400 listed in the
NetBSD/alpha FAQ?
I think I can master a boot tape using the original DU4 install,
providing I can get single user access. Will a QIC 250MB drive be an
okay medium for this?
Cheers
Matt
