well, good luck rescuing the disk, i hope you didnt lose much data from it!

wget reports that it has finished wgett'ing all of ftp.digital.com!! 
only 6.4 gigs, too. i'll start on gatekeeper momentarily.. is anyone on 
the list closer to the european site, so it doesnt have to go over a slow 
line all the way to the us?
